Does water cooled PC generate heat?

Just a curious question... I was wondering why people spend so much money just to get their computer water cooled. So is it true that the comp doesn't generate heat when u water cool it?
 
Water cooling is a more extreme cooling alternative. As most know cool components are the best components, And this is no more true than with overclocking. It's a general thought that by each 10*c you manage to cool a chip you can overclock another 3%, which drives some people to High heights regarding cooling.

A CPU will still generate heat when water-cooled, just much less than when air cooled.
 
I don't think I'd ever use a water-cooling solution.. something about water swimming around in a case full of electronics makes me uneasy :D
 
TBH water cooling will still generate heat, but the water will disperse it quicker then a fag..

obviously it generates more heat, allot more than air cooling, the water cooling moves it to the air in your room via the radiator

Well We've come a long way regarding waterproofing and components. :D

Btw I heard awhile back about a new version of cooling that was being considered for chips and the like, I believe it was very tiny "tunnels" on the surface of a chip that was filled with water, it would be driven along by an electrical current. They had a workable model and everything, but I dunno what became of it. Probably dead by now. :(

I'm not new to computers, by any means.. and still, after years of hearing about water cooling, it makes me uneasy :o

If it's raining outside, do you walk out there with a plugged-in toaster? ..ok, to be fair, you're wearing a rain coat.

Regardless of how safe watercooling claims to be, there's always room for error, as with everything in life. ;)

Hehe, I meant that water and electronics was an oxymoron. I'm agreeing with you, you oaf. :P

TBH I'd probably never do it. I'm cheap, and similar to you alittle uneasy about all that water so close to the sensitive parts of my PC, The idea is sexy is all i'm saying. :)
