Does Windows 8 have Bluetooth?

My Windows 10 laptop just died and I want to pair my bluetooth wireless speaker with my Windows 8 desktop but can't find a way to do it. If possible, simple instructions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What laptop model do you have? Windows 8 itself supports bluetooth.

My laptop died, so it's my desktop HP Pavillion P7-1410 w/Windows 8 (will not accept Windows 10 update)..sorry, put down wrong model # before

A lot of desktops don't have integrated Bluetooth hardware. You can buy a dongle or similar if you need that capabilitiy.

Oh, I see....I've never heard of a dongle but I assume it's easily gotten and installed if I need it. Trying to decide on a new laptop, just for the basics and so I can listen to music. My Toshiba laptop L75-B was pnly 1.5 yrs old, so it's an unexpected expense. Looking at the Dell Inspiron 15.6 for $330-$350 ..any thoughts?thanks!

Why won't it accept the update? Any recent model machine is capable of running windows 10.
