this is my current motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157191

and i am buying this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

and also getting a new CPU, but everything else is staying exactly the same. i've already checked out everything else and it seems to be compatible, but my only question is the hard drive. i assumed i would have to do a clean install of windows, but i honestly don't want to spend hours getting 500gb of data back and everything running the way it was before. so how do you go about this?

oh yes, and its windows 7. that might be a little important :P

You will have to reinstall Windows 7, as you're not only changing motherbaords, but you're changing from AMD to Intel.
