I am going to purchase a domain name from godaddy.com and before I do I want to ask a few questions.

1.) Is it worth making your domain private?

2.) What is the best way to run a server from your home?

1)Sorry, but i don;t know what you mena by that

2)The best way to run a server from home is to install apache on a old/spare computer then make sure that port forwarding (if applicable) is enabled, then you will need wither a static IP address or dynamic dns service then forward your domain to it.
