Domain Registration

I've currently got a domain registered with www.uk-cheapest.co.uk and to be honest, it's pretty bad. It's always running real slow, goes down unexpectedly, sometimes I can't even get on their site to check the status of it. Also, the site itself looks very, very amateur, which doesn't fill me with much confidence.

I was looking at changing it and came across www.123-reg.co.uk - Their site seemed good and they seemed to offer some good stuff. However, I read some reviews and a lot of people said they were getting their site renewed (and paying for it) even though they'd selected to let it expire.

I'm wanting to change domain providers, but just transfer it over (as it's registered for another year yet), but don't know where to go from here. Can anybody offer and advice or guidance? Thanks.

I use .co.nr - it's a free URL redirection service, meaning that you have to host your own server. If it's a domain that provides webhosting that you want, GoDaddy is very popular and very cheap.

Thanks for the reply.

I've got hosting all set up already, I just want a domain to forward to it. It has to be .co.uk though - which GoDaddy doesn't offer, as far as I know.

EDIT: Typical, haha. The ad at the top of the page is for 123-reg.co.uk.

GoDaddy does offer .co.uk

I also would recommend GoDaddy.com or Register.com for domain registration. Of course, subscription varies from one site to another. After domain registration & if you are considering a good web host, Hostgator is one of my personal favorites. Most features are unlimited like bandwidth and disk space. They also have good tech support. Good reviews as well.
