Domain Transfer Questions

I've never transfered a domain before, so I'm not sure how this works. Basically, I'm doing a website for a business and the guy that owns the business had someone else buy the domain he wants so now I need to have it transfered to my godaddy.com account. I've never done this, so how do I go about it and what do I need the other guy do?

I didn't see anything about transferring a domain from one person to another. I need to have ownership of this so we can do with it what we want.
 
you people who currently have posetion with have the ability to give you a release code. You give that to the new go daddy website, and 24-48hrs later it is transfered hosts..
 
Wait you want to give the domain you bought to someone else? Or you want to direct the domain to the host?
 
What happened was that a local business had a guy working on his website and now my friend and I are going to do it. The other guy has the domain name and everything. We just want ownership of the domain name, so we need to transfer it from him to us, so we own it and I can manage it from my godaddy account.

Send a mail to godaddy, it might be registered to his name...
