My long suffering partner wants a laptop..we've discussed the options but basically a laptop it is. A few photos, typing, a lot of music is what is needed. I realise you could get a laptop for a couple hundred quid seeing as not asking the earth in terms of gaming/video editing..nothing like that.

However..i ask the question...what do you think to either of these two...around £400 quid a throw...any good? Please - your input welcome..i mean..the Samsung one sounds ok..but then i read somewhere you dont get a proper! graphics card with it..or something??

Again views welcome..enlighten the blind.

The samsung has a better Processor and also better graphic chip than the sony. more ram so, if I were you, I will get the samsung.

Cheers

thanks for the advice..although im certain i saw somewhere that the samsung bought via pcworld...wasnt the one advertised etc...

so..sony via..is all gloss and no action then?

I don't know which sony you refer to, but the two you listed, the sony have the older SandyB processor and the Samsung has the newer IvyB processor the IvyB come with Intel hd4000 video chip which is better than the older hd3000 video chip.
Cheers
