just put together a computer, wouldnt post. Had a friend look at it for me we tried 1 stick of ram at a time on board usb etc onboard video onboard usb 1/3 would work. so he said its probably dead board/cpu? or should i try anything else or rma that stuff. How come i didnt hear any beeps either?

lights came on, cpu fan worked just wouldnt post

my specs

msidka790gx mobo

amd phenom 9950

corsair 550w psu

ocz ddr2 1066 ram

and antec 900 case

do i even have a speaker though? the antec 900 doesnt have a speaker i dont think, i dont think the motherboard does either i dont know how to find out if it does or not

You might want to re seat your CPU just to be sure its in and connected.

no, antec 900 doesnt have a case speaker, i dont think. I'm just not sure if my motherboard has 1.......anyway im off to bed hopefully someone knows if ive got a speaker to hear beeps cause i hear nothing

Will newegg give me a tough time rmaing it for a replacement because they're dead? I created an rma and shipped it today, I'm just not sure if they'll give me a hard time for replacing it since it seems half dead or something?

Quit worrying so much, knowing Newegg they'll probably give you a new, whatever it is you rma'd, assuming there is no physical damage.

On a side note, I'm pretty sure all modern motherboards have beep sound capabilities.
