umm,umm...into programming, aya?

*IN THEORY* you could make a fancy java applet that retrieves this videostuff from your server encrypted in some fancy-pancy way so that people using TubeSuckers and such will get nothing but gibberish. Then, this *very very smart applet* stuffs around with the video and - huzzah - converts it into some form that java can display. How genius! Then its only matter of downloading the applet (how to do that? dunno...) and disassembling it and figuring out this encryption mechanism....right?

What do we do then?

Well, you have to pass an "encryption key" to the applet as a parameter. Therefore, having only the applet disassembled will be no use. You have to get the encryption key to be able to make aby use of the stuff you download. Am I not smart?

But then some script kiddie has a look at the HTML code and there it is - the ENCRYPTION KEY! or is it? NO! *I* was thinking ahead - it's actually a little piece of JavaScript that gets the encryption key which is based on DATE and TIME. Therefore, the ENCRYPTION KEY changes every 1 minute (or 10 seconds or two minutes, whatever you like...). The applet performs similar checking - if the movie is not being sucked within 1> minute of this "hacker" figuring out the encryption key for that little short while, its gonna suck gibberish. Of course, the hacker wouldn't know about these smart and intelligent VERY *VERY* frequently changing keys. So he does not hurry and opens up "TubeSucker Clone For Your Website" and sucks up....GIBBERISH!! You win again.

By the moment he figures out this "changing keys" scheme, comes in another thing - the "time" for these "key verifications" is acquired from some overseas server and this hacker of ours does NOT take into account that its in some other timezone. YOUR server is in some unknown timezone, too. Of course your intelligent server-side scripts take this time difference into account, but our hacker does not, does not, does not. What happens?

Once again, he downloads GIBBERISH!

Using some rather colorful language, our hacker/sucker gives up, admitting his defeat againist superior, intelligent solutions of mine. The end of the story!

How serious was I?
I'M A COMPUTER PROGRAMMER! < No, seriously I am!
I guess that, in theory, you could do this. There are approximately 217+ major bugs and glitches to take into account, but...in theory tis can be done!

Is anyone doing this, going to do this, Including both of us? Probably not...
