dont know what cpu to choose

hi everyone,

I am making/building a new pc(for gaming and stuff) and I aint reall in to to so I was hoping someone could help me. I have done some research myself, so I was wondering what is better a Intel® Core™ i5-680 or a Intel® Core™ i5-760. if this are both crappy cpu's plz tell me.

Both of those processors are very good but for a gaming computer I would recommend a quad core. The i5 760 would be a great choice.

other question if I buy the i5 760 can I play like the newest game for some time or is that than only possible on the lowest resolitions??
 
that has a lot more to do with your gpu rather than your cpu. I think that if you have a good quad core paired with a good gpu (GTX 460, 5770 and up) you should be able to play games maybe not completely maxed but still at a high quality for quite a while.
