I think, OFFICIALLY now i have this problem. Somewhere along the line my (work) monitor Benq E900w cannot up to 1400x900.
I made a thread once but I cannot find it. This problem has been around for some time I didn't bother posting until now because I've just formatted my PC to face the same problem. I even downloaded the updated Intel display driver.

any idea or whatsoever patch I can use to work my way around this ?

Have you installed video drivers?

EDIT: nvm, just saw that you did, hmmm

How about this: Are you using a VGA connection or DVI? I had a friend once that had a bad VGA cable. It would appear to display video, but the computer wasn't reading whatever feedback it usually gets, because it couldn't tell what monitor or it's possible resolutions was. Worked fine after using a different cable...

Sniperchang, am using VGA.tried swapping cable to no avail.for now am running on 1280x768 , the only res on 1400 which is available is 1400x1050 but that doesn't look too good. crap :mad:
