So i upgrade to win7 finally.
Here's the thing. My hard drive is 500. Split into 2.
in the setup, i deleted the WinXp (local disk C) partition and installed 7 on there.
Booted (please note DVD still in drive) to windows no problem.

Restarted my PC, without the dvd, i got Disc boot failure.
I popped in my dvd, but not booting from it and the computer booted to windows.

so where's the problem ? wasn't 7 suppose to write me an MBR ? doesn't look like it did.
So i went to cmd prompt and ran the fixboot and fixmbr to no avail.

geeez, what else can I do ? I can't keep the win7 dvd in my drive for ever.

ideas ??!! thanks
