well... i have the PC in my sig,.. i could install Doom 3 normally.. but when i try to instal RoE,.. it say's it requires 2000 or Xp. I'm running Win xp x64 atm,.. and i know thats the problem.

my version of win x64 is fully legal, so are all my games.. but, is there a way to disable the OS check of the installer or something like that? because i have the same problems on for example Call of Duty's expansion pack ( i think its called Zero hour,,.. but im not sure, since im not at home atm :P )

Try this:

1. Install Doom3, patch it to 1.1
2. Copy the whole directory "d3xp" from your RoE-CD to your Doom3-Directory
3. Apply Patch 1.2 from RoE-CD
4. Start Doom3
5. Now you are asked for the CD-Key of RoE
6. Select MODS and select RoE
7. Enjoy

There's also a modified .msi file floating around the internet that should do the trick.

I'm not sure about Call of Duty. This is why I hate x64 :)

Yup! If you don't have any 64-bit apps you really need to be running there really is no point right now (my opinion).

I've actually heard that before. I suppose if it's noticeably faster it might be worth a bit of headache. I would try it but I'm not upgrading my OS until Vista ships. I've been playing with Vista RC1 32 bit. Perhaps I'll check and see if they are still allowing downloads. I'll try the 64 bit version.
