Doom 3 won't save video settings

Hey, everytime I have to turn on Doom 3, I have to set the video settings to my preference, why is this? It never saves it to what I like(Ultra 1600*1200)
 
could possibly be that Doom3 is not wanting it to run at those settings as it does not think you'll have the best possible play experience as your card is not really meant to run such a game at such high settings. Honestly If I ran it on my computer at those settings I know I would not have the best possible play experience ;).

Just reset it each time or apply any updated patches if you have not alreay but I would just re-apply your settings each time. Also you might want to try updating your drivers for you video card if you have not done so already.
 
you could try changing the settings in the game, then alt-tabbing, then make the config file read only. dunno if this works or not.

K thanks to all you guys for helping and supporting me in this time of need. And thank you especially Blue, for standing up for me against all the mean bully types that kept on telling me my card can not run Doom 3 on Ultra and that it will not give me the best gaming expirience. Even though that it does give me a great expirience. I surely wish that you Blue had the card that I have so you could enjoy Doom 3 in its fullness.

Well we cannot all be so lucky ;). I'm just happy that you've found Doom 3 heaven with your card. I too am also a very busy guy and dont have time to sit and play doom so it's just as well I suppose :P.
