Ermm... ok, this is a little hard to explain!
I've just bought a 80GB HDD from Novatech, I thought it was damaged as none of my machines would find it either in DOS or My comp. So I rang the techi helpline and the techi sed that the HDD comes unformatted, so I formatted it. The comps running on Windows then found the HDD fine.
So I installed the HDD back into the PC that I'm putting the new HDD into, and booted it up, as the HDD has no bootable prog on it I was ready with bootable windows disks, but.... the comp froze after the RAM check, saying Auto-Detecting Pri Master Drive... (press F4 to Cancel).
There was no POST beep or anything. Even if I pressed F4 it wouldn't do anything, the keyboard was not powered, so Ctrl + Alt + Del wouldn't work either.
Have you guys got any ideas what might be the prob???????
Please help, it's not my comp, it's a mates and he wants it bak... working preferably!
