"Double monitor" error

I have a new Viewsonic Graphics Series G220fb CRT 21" (up from a 19" Dell 1905fp flatscreen) but have a weird problem. Whenever I run certain apps (itunes, dell media experience) or sometimes just randomly the video card seems to think there are two monitors and tries to stretch the image out across two monitors. Me only having one monitor, however, makes it kind of hard to do much with a stretched screen. Whats even weirder is that it only happens on my account and not on the two other accounts on my machine. Any ideas for the cause?
 
I don't think its a driver problem. If it were, it would affect all accounts but it only affects mine. Anyway, I got a driver update and it worked fine for like a month before screwing up.
 
I don't suppose that there's anything plugged into the second port on the video card, or into the VIVO port, if the card has one?
