doubling up ram

I have 4 x 1gb sticks of quality ram (imo) but only 2 ddr slots. I am fairly certain I have seen a device which allows you to mount 4 sticks in 2 slots or 2 sticks in 1 slot but I cannot recall what they are called nor where to purchase them. Help?

Nope, thats not possible at all. Ram slots are already close too one another, there wouldn't be any room to add 2 more sticks side by side.

I don't think that you will be able to do what you want to. I am not saying that its not possible, but the pin out to do that would be extremely complex and probably unreliable.

Mac Pros allowed you to do just that...but on a budget board...you simply cant sadly :/

If you only have two slots, i'd just get faster clock speeds or more capacity for those two dimms. I've never heard of doubling up on physical area you don't have. It doesn't sound very safe.
