how can i do this. I reinstalled windows for my parents, and they dont like how everything is so small, they cant read. I unistalled the intel driver from automatic updates then everything blew up and looked aweful. I tried just changing the resolution, but everything gets stretched out vertically more than horizontal. How can i make everythng on my computer just a little bigger without looking like garbage. Basically the way it looked with the original windows xp operating system that was on the computer (HP). I personally think this looks better, but its not for me.

Dont uninstall the graphics! Thats gonna give you tons of additional programs. Just go into display settings and change it to a lower resolution, put those drivers back on there!

ok, first off, are you using a LCD monitor? if so, keep it on the highest resolution, since that works the best for that monitor. you can however increase the dpi (if I remember right normally its on 96, but you can increase it to 128 or so), when you increase the dpi, everything on the screen will become bigger.

if you're not using a LCD monitor, you can jsut turn down the resolution a bit, makes everything bigger too :)

how do i increase the dpi?

Are you sure you're using the correct aspect ratio for the resolution? Using 1280x1024 or something on a widescreen LCD is not going to look good.

it wasnt about it not looking good tough, it was about everything beeing too small :)

are you using windows Xp? (because I'm using Vista at the moment, and cant recall where it was in Xp :( think it was under the desktop propperties tough, you know, right click somewhere on the desktop and then propperties ^^)

Well if it's not a resolution issue, you can change the size of the icons and text from the display properties configuration page, without changing the resolution.
