Downgrade to Windows98(from Millennium);Successful, but.....

I created a startup disk for ME in the control panel's add/remove, as was suggested. This disk worked for getting me into DOS and formating drive C:. My problem now is that it is not accepting the "Authenticity Numbers" that came with my Windows98 CD set. Is there a way around the registering process.

Whats the reason it isnt accepting those numbers?

I think its because Microsoft will only let you use the CD set on only one PC, which isnt really fair. Ive heard there where ways around the registration process.

LOL no thats not what I meant.... what does it the installation say? (i.e., answer the question literally )
