What could be the problem?

Did you upgrade or fresh install?

1 GB of RAM, while completely horrendous from a performance perspective, wouldn't prevent you from downloading things.

Did you upgrade while within Windows XP or did you wipe the hard drive and install a fresh copy of Windows 7?

Uninstall the yandex browser and use something like firefox, chrome, or even IE. You should have at least 4 gb of ram to run windows 7 efficiently.

Windows 7 should have at a bare minimum 2GB of RAM. And I see Yandex they to connect to my site all the time. I wouldn't trust 'em. Ditch that crap and use a reputable browser as was mentioned.

Let me take that back with RAM. If you use Chrome you will need a lot of RAM. I would go with Firefox or Palemoon.

My parents computer is Windows 7 and operates just fine with Palemoon and 2GB of RAM.

I would actually go with Firefox though. Palemoon's user agent can be a PITA with websites and they're suppose to fix that crap. Yet the latest release hasn't fixed it.

I am planning to buy more RAM in order to improve my PC's performance. But I think you guys are only focused on the fact that I mentioned Yandex as an example I tried downloading stuff like Java and Flash player and I still faced the same problem.I do have Mozila on my PC but anything else that I tried downloading faced the same problem so do you have any other opinions?...

Nope no malware,I installed some programs (Mozila,Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional and Team viewer 10 and they are working properly).Weird thing I noticed..while downloading Team viewer i saw the sam crash report but after i closed out of the report Team viewer was installed and i was able to use it.(IDK if this helps but there you go)

Nope no malware

And you know that how??? Every machine is gonna have some type of malware, regardless. Besides this, running windows 7 on only 1.5 gb of ram isn't gonna cut it. You need more ram. Have you gotten rid of yandex yet?

And you know that how???
well i know it becaouse i ran scans with programs similar to the programs you directed me to in my last thread...Yandex is gone,I am planning to buy more RAM but i cant seem to find any for a fair price because i went to a computer store and the 512MB of RAM was 15 fricking dollars..so im still on the lookout for RAM.

What system or motherboard do you have so we know what ram it takes? Forget about 512mb sticks. Look for 1gb or 2gb sticks.

You can download and run cpuz in the look in the mainboard tab to see what motherboard you have if its a custom built machine or if its a store bought pc, there should be a model number on the pc somewhere.

I couldn't tell you,I'm not really a hardware type.
What sites are you looking at to find RAM? I think sites like Crucial, where you can tell them what PC you have will try to charge a fortune for RAM, because it's "guaranteed to work." In fairness, it'll work, but you can end up paying through the nose for it! I think it's better to look up the make and model of your machine and find out what RAM it takes. With that, you can get a better range of prices. (Though, you'll need to be careful not to buy the wrong one! ;))

Also, in my experience, very old RAM can often be more expensive, since it's a bit of a niche market. You may want to try second hand for a cheaper deal, though I'd probably stay away from Ebay for stuff like that! I know Ebay users hack flash drives to make appear to have more memory than they actually have. I don't know if you can do that with RAM, but I wouldn't put it past them to try!

What sites are you looking at to find RAM?

Well I am not actualy looking for RAM on sites im just going to the every pc store I find wherever I go to check for cheap RAM.Not really succsesfull(did i spell this right?).I don't trust online shoping to be honest...

I don't trust online shoping to be honest...

Just out of curiosity, what makes you feel this way? I worked in a physical shop for a while and I'd trust reputable online vendors 100x more than your 'trusty local repairman'..

I don't trust online shoping to be honest...

Online shopping is where its at now. Thats why so many of these smaller stores have closed up.

How are you getting prices on ram when you don't even know what ram you need?
