Hi group,
I belong to this site where I can download clips, everything was fine up until a week ago when I tried to download a few clips and instead of going into the folder I created for it...it went straight to a temp folder and then to real player. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can change it back to the way it was?

Thanks,
Tony

If you have a program for downloading installed the setting for the type of files downloaded may have a different default then where you assigned other types of files to go. You would have to look over the options for saving files to a folder of your choice. Or the program simply reset itself to it's own default setting when you went to download those files. Look over those to see if you can reassign your designated folder as the default.

how do I do that? what do I do? Has this ever happend to you before...because this is some freaky shit like someone just came in and messed up my pc and I'm the only computer person in here..lol

The question you haven't answered would be was there any program that had to be installed in order to download from the site you are referring to? You would simply open the options menu often on either a tool or explorer bar to then select the folder to download files to. This is providing there is an option for doing this. Often however web sites like those install adwares as well where your settings could have been changed by one of those. I would suggest here to run an adware/spyware removers on your system as well as looking into the settings menu.

Do you have any download tools? If you dont know what they are, you probably dont have it.

Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, when the comfirmation comes up for the download, you probably have it checked on the radio buttom that says "Open ..." instead of the "Save as" which is the bottom radio button.

Are you using a different browser?
