after about an hour of gaming i get the blue screen and it auto resets. Also if anyone has some suggestions of a 100-200$ upgrade that would improve my performance please post. thanks....

hmm... what is the temp of your grafic's card?
i had a similar problem when i had my 6800GT overclocked too far,. and when it got too hot, BSoD, and restart.
try running that game with the sidepanel removed, if that works, you know your grafic's card is running too hot too :)

ok. i'll check that out. if that is the problem i do have a ASUS EN7600GS SILENT/HTD/512M Geforce 7600GS 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card that i'll get on the 14th. would that be better and maybe resolve my issue?

also i just remembered on one of the submit errors windows for xp it said something about driver conflict or software conflict. but i already tried updating all my drivers and it still does it. it also will bsod if its sat for and hour and i start surffing the net if that helps any.

i have the ac freezer on my processor so it shouldnt be that. but even if it sits for awhile and im not using it and the screens off i'll leave a web page up and in a few hours its gone so it tells me it reset.

The Blue Screen of Death is in XP thought it was only in the 9x series shows what I know and yeah it does sound like a heating problem but with that AC freezer I duno, you should check if thats working

yes... the 7600's run a LOT cooler than the 6800GT :) but.. have you tried running it with the sidepanel off? ( maybe you have to clean the heatsink once too ;) )
