Dream Computer

I read about a rig a mag made that was dual everything. I was so insane. Ethier way it came about to about 9000 dollars or so. Thats a grand more then my car costed me....

i would either have this:

or this:
pc2.png

The second system: Why pick a Pentium D?

I would not want a $15000 computer. It is pointless, the technology will be outdated within months. It will still play every game, but the stuff in it is not the best anymore.

I would rather have a 2k-3k computer, it can play every game on high for a while and put the other 12k to something better.

My dream computer is as follows :

Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe/WiFi AP
2GBs Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 CAS3
WD Raptor 150GB (Main HDD)
2x Seagate Barracuda 750GB HDDs (Raid 0)
eVGA nVidia 7950GX2
Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Edition
ASUS PhysX Card
Cooler Express "Hydra" Phase Change Triple Evaporator
Lian-Li PC-65B Case
Plextor 16X SATA DVD Burner
ASUS 16X DVD-ROM/RAM
PC Power & Cooling 1KW PSU

Now all I need is some money.

I just build what I would called the best system for my needs. I do some video editting and play games every now and then. I put a lot of neat stuff in it to make it really personal, and my price was around $2500. It'll take a while before I would consider any upgrades, but it is very upgradable at this point. Maybe when Vista comes out, and I have gone through my resentment of MS BS I might throw some more memory in it, and another video card. $15000 I could use for something WAY more appropiate . like a new car or something. So I agree with the others, but it is cool stuff for sure.

*It's Core 2 Extreme X6800.

And I'd rather have the Core 2 Extreme X6900. :P

**And how much RAM would that be?

Ya then you can build a 2k to 3k comp like every year or year and a half or just upgrade, it would last you a lot longer, and would most likely be able to do most stuff just as well

Two 7950s in SLI is crap. The drivers havent really made it good yet, and currently is very unstable.
ya and i thinkg an x1900xtx in crossfire still beats it or is pretty close, anyway the x1950's should be coming out soon, those will be fast
