Drive failure!?!?

I went to bed the last night, and aparently during the night the breaker that my computer is on blew. I had my computer on. This morning, I got an error that said "Disc 0 failed and system date is not set."..or something comprable to that message. My computer wouldnt even get past that into windows...So I went into my bios and reset the system time, after I rebooted, I still got the "Disc 0 Failed" but didn't get the time message; it stays on this message for about 2 seconds before it boots windows. When I get into windows, it aparently now says that I have a floppy drive..and it is asking for the drivers. But, I have no floppy drive. I ran my bios' disc diagnostics on my Drive 0, which is a Samsung SP2014N, and it said it "FAIL RETURN CODE 7"....My bios is Phoenix Bios Revision A05...it is just the bios on a stock Dimension 2400...Perhaps it did a hard reset of my bios?!? Any ideas?

...note that the Computer had been ON when the breaker popped.

[EDIT] I boot from the drive assigned to Drive 0

this is where in hindsight having a UPS (uninteruptable power supply) comes in handy. having the power go out while ur computer is running is a crap shoot. u may be lucky and not have a blown hard drive, or u may not. in your case it sounds like ur hard drive is dead.

I had been planning on getting a UPS, but hadn't gotten around to it; guess i should of  ...You say the Harddrive may be blown, but what I don't understand is why can I still boot from it, YES, I get the error message of diskette failure, but why am i still able to boot onto it, if it is dead?!?...Now, is it possible the mobo could have been affected, because I don't understand why the computer now says that I have a floppy drive, which I don't...

Also, I haven't said this in any of the previous posts, but the computer runs like crap now...I mean it is actually terrible, Games are affected, speed is rediculously slow, and it takes considerably more amount of time to boot...Also, I have had random "computer freezes" where the only way I can get out of it is pulling the power plug...

I really need to know what you guys need, cause its hard to go without a decent compuer :(
