drive G not accessible

Whenever I try to copy pictures to a CD, I get this warning on both CD and DVD drives: “G/: is not accessible. Incorrect function” I get this warning for both drives either when I try to use the “copy/move” function or drag and drop. I did a little research and found it may be a Roxio problem but I removed Roxio from the computer a few weeks ago (I didn’t like and it didn’t work very well). Moving picture files from one folder to a disk should be a basic Windows function to me but it seems my PC has lost the language for doing this. Its on XP operating system. Any ideas?

Found a few solutions. I've used, uninstalled, re-installed, etc. Roxio a number of times on tons of computers and never run into this issue at all so it seems to me that if you've deleted it off, then there shouldn't be an issue.

1) Make sure the drivers are updated for this device.

2) Follow these instructions:
- Right click your G: drive.
- Click Properties.
- Click the "Recording" tab.
- Make sure the "Enable CD Recording On This Drive" box is checked.
--- If this is not checked it shouldn't allow you to add anything on the CD.

3) Microsoft suggests uninstalling and re-installing Easy CD Creator, haven't seen any confirmed posts that this solves the problem. More solutions found with Solution 2.

Let us know. :)
