Drive not found --- HELP!

Okay, so, this isn't my computer and I'm not near the computer needing the help, but I am on the phone with said person.

She was trying to put in a new DVD burner.
Yes, everything was unplugged, etc etc.

She gave up, plugged stuff back in, computer gives her:

"No boot device available"

Anyway... how can we get this thing back up and running?

The startup Configure Driver works for the secondary driver, but not the first. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

EDIT: Now... the computer just beeps..

It will be one of a couple issues, either she did not hook up the ide/sata port correctly, or she forgot to plug the power connector back in.
