i have a slave drive thats 320 gbs that roughly a year old.

questions
i want to reboot my comp and i want to keep all the info on this slave drive. if i remove it and reboot my comp is it possible to hook it up again and still have the info i still have on it, or will i have to format the drive too?

is it possible for me to remove my slave drive and hook it up to another computer as a slave drive?

The drive will be fine while you format the primary one. You can leave it connected, but I sometimes recommend unplugging drives just to be on the safe side...

And yes, you may move the drive between computers.

 You pull it out of your current computer and connect it to the other. If it's IDE/PATA, you may have to set the jumpers accordingly(Master/Slave/Cable Select).

i dont understand, im not really that smart in computer stuff, so if you could put it into stupid people terms thanks, and i dont know what to do for the bios setting

Is the drive SATA? If you don't know what SATA is, does the drive have a very wide cable connected to it that looks like this:

If it does, then it's PATA and you have to set the jumper properly (instructions should be on the drive somewhere). If it doesn't have a connector like that it's SATA and jus plug it in and you should be good to go.
