Driver can't read blank CD-R?

I heard you should reinstall your drivers if this happens? I have a Windows XP and I'm trying to copy a CD and usually it works but I'm using roxio, windows media player and they all can't read or recognize the CD-R

That's wierd, try downloading new drivers...and try using a diff drive if you can.
