Drivers....and other software.can you help?

Ok, so I get a new graphics card (radeon 9800xt) and I would like to know how to install it. Ok the hardware part is easy but the software isn't. I know that windows (XP I have) will prompt me to get drivers from it and the CD I got with it will do the same. But are those out of date? Do I got to www.ati.com and download the latest catalysts and if so how do I do it? Can I get a step-to-step guide from a website or somewhere? Or maybe one of you kind people can help :).

Thanks for your time :)

right click on my computer>click on properties> then click on the hardware tab> then device manager> then click on the + by the display adapters> then right click on your video card> then click uninstall.

not sure what you mean?
mabe if you post a screen shot of you device manager with the display adapters tree opened it might help

em....i got a pic i just dont know how to post it  can you help?

or basically what happens is i click the 'plus' sign and 2 drivers appear:

Display Adapters
RADEON 9800xt
RADEON 9800xt - Secondary

Hope this helps. Also what drivers should i install? the most recent 5,7s or older ones?

Hmm

Can't you just unistall the drivers through the Control Panel under Add and Remove Programs? That should be much more simple.
