Drivers for Hard drive?

I know back in the day you had to load drivers for sata harddrives... I wasnt sure if it was the same today. I have an new asus mobo and am looking into a rapter... can I plug and play?
 
a lot of it will depend on the RAID controller you're using... basically i would say that 99% of all controllers require a driver disk
 
you proberbly will have to but a driver on but if your not running a os on the drive you will be able to do it when windows is running
 
i installed my latest SATA drive on my Neo2 platinum, and loaded windows on it. You might just be able to do it thru the windows disk like i did. Trial and error, thats how i try to fix my problems
