My question, is there a free simple way of stopping this rubbish? I am a 76 year old pensioner with a reasonable grip on computers but, if you can spell it out slowly that will help.

That doesn't answer my question. Who is your email provider? Yahoo? Gmail? Etc.

It's an issue with their spam filter then. It seems to just be doing a poor job.

I recommend switching to another email provider like Gmail.

Access their webmail site so that you setup your spam filter better.
