dropped off domain

I tried to set up remtoe desk top on some client machines and one of the steps was to go to the CMD promt and type gpupdate/force
I wondering if this would drop computers off the domain

Don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think so. Your client machines should authenticate to your DC's, whether or not your running that type of software. I have used netmeeting's remote desktop on my domain with no problem, as well as terminal services with no drop offs. I believe the remote desktop is actually terminal service, so you should be ok.
