DSL Connection Dropping

Hello all,

Lately my wireless internet connections is unable to connect to my wireless router.

Anyways, I have one wired computer that's always connected and 3-4 other computers/devices. The wireless connections drop out daily, only if they are turned off or restarted. I have updated my firmware to my router and the problem still persists. The last thing I can think of is that my ISP is dynamic, and that's what is causing this whole issue. If it's because of my ISP being dynamic is the only solution to get static ISP?
 
ah you see. the 3 - 4 computers you have connected. are the connected wirelessly. A good thing to try is disconnect all wireless devices and leave one laptop connected for example. see if it cuts off, if it does then your router might be the problem. if not then you router might not be able to supply the demand your asking for and might then cut off.

i dont thing dynamic ISP is the problem, if you send and recieve packets then the router is responding.

It sure is puzzling. A while back I updated the firmware to the router and since then this problem has been occurring, so I think...I wonder if I can install an older firmware update? When one of my wireless connections drops, the connection does say its connected with limited or no connectivity. From there I try and do the repair and it doesn't work. All I do is unplug the power to my router wait a sec and then plug it back in and all my wireless connections can connect again. It's frustrating! :confused:

I haven't had the time to just have one computer connected. If my router cannot supply the demand of four computers/devices what's the point of the router?

Just a note: Today only one computer tried to connect to the router and no connection was ever established. At that time another computer, both wireless tried to connect but no avail.

Well I came home tonight and I was unable to connect with any of my wireless connections. So I just unplugged the router and plugged it back in, and was able to connect to it again....I am ready to get another router if I can't figure this out!!:rolleyes:
 
Okay, well I feel as I am talking to myself...BUT, How can I confirm that the firmware update went through?

I found my router on newegg Link and one of the reviews says it drops connections randomly. :eek:
