hopefully someone can help me out here

i have a computer room where i have a DSL router thats connected to a phone jack along with my house phone (they share a splitter)

now im in the process of setting up an office in my house and i have a phone jack in there (same number as the computer room)

so my question is, do i just get another router and set it up in my office or do i get a wireless router, sorry very confused

I would recommend a wireless router and adapter. Do you already have a router or maybe you're thinking of the modem. Not to insult, I just don't know your setup.

i have this router (2wire with at&t):

a phone line cable going from the router into the phone jack and a thicker yellow cable going from the router into my tower

this is in my main computer room right now.

im looking into setting up a office in my house and im not exactly what i should do? the room im going to use for my office has a phone jack for the same number that the computer room is using

That should also be a wireless router if i'm not mistaken. Look on the back for a model number so we can determine that. If it is its just a matter of getting a wireless card for you office area. How far away is your office from the computer room?

You can't get another modem without paying for an additional ip address from your internet provider.

also my house is pretty small, about 1,600 sqft. the computer room and my office are on opposite sides of the house, cant exactly say how far apart but wouldnt think it would be an issue

Yes, its a wireless G router as well. And depending on how many twists and turns and other obstacles there are between computer room and office, you may have a hard drive keeping connected to the router. You might get lucky though.
