Is there a way to put damn small linux on my harddrive while Im using the live CD? I know I need to do something with the partition like make a new one or something but I dont know how.

ok thanks that might be what i need. I remember before on this forum someone had a link to a website that helped you pick which linux was best for you. I tried to install SuSE linux before but I couldn't see the bottom half of the screen so it was hard to figure out what to do.
