dual 9800gx2 question

what is the absolute minimum power supply i could use to run this, and it is a guaranteed performance improvement over one 9800gx2 correct? ( already have a 9800gx2 thinking about getting another)
 
I'm not going to go into the power supply as unless you are folding the gains just aren't there with 4 gpu's (quad-sli in this case).
 
He is talking about "Folding @ Home"

It is a program that can use CPU or GPU power to "Fold Proteins" for research. The program downloads work units and your computer processes the work and you get points for completing. We have a team here at CF.

He does have a good point, 2 x 9800gx2 will consume a crazy amount of power and the performance gains will not be great. It will help a little with some games of course, but over all for the amount of power you need and the price a another 9800gx2...just does not make sense right now.
 
if im not mistaken a 9800gx2 addition will consume an additional 198 watts, i think (just from reading)

but if the gains would be minimal i guess there is no point

stuff like COD mw2 i cant run with everything on max, i have to keep it on high
