Dual Boot or Virtual PC

Which would be better dual boot or virtual pc within the primary os. I'm thinking dual because if something goes wrong with btldr on 1 u then just start the other. My son keeps pitching virtual ssystem; anyone done both.

I'm using Virtual PC, but for different purposes I suppose . Dual boot is maybe better because Virtual PC is more for testing and experimenting. Also, if you screw your primary OS, then you will hardly get Virtual PC to start, but if you use Dual boot you'll never have both operating systems screwed. I suppose. Dual Boot.

Yeah dual boot because without your primary OS, you won't be able to use Virtual PC. So like GameMaster said, if your primary OS crashes, so does Virtual PC.

I would have to agree with what they said! At least if something were to happen to your OS, you would still be able to boot! Although- I too use a VM and I really like it!!

How would I go about doing dual boot? I wanna try linux aside from my windows as I've heard good things..
