windows cant see linux partions due to the different file system so you cant use windows to format that partion as suggested in previous thread use a 3rd party boot disc like parted magic or any other decent partion tool and just format the linux partion to ntfs although becareful ive hear a few people have done it and had to re install windows because its corrupted it.

Windows Cant "see" linux partitions, but he can manage them trought Disk management console cant he?
So wizle, if you wanna formatt the linux partition point the mouse to:
Start
Right click in My computyer
Manage
Disk Management
Click in partition that Ubuntu is and format it for NTFS (thats the best one).
choose all the defaults in formatting and make sure you have the option Quick formatt enabled.
Hope that helps
