Dual boot problem

Toad Master

Hello. I just installed XP Pro on a new pc. During installation I created 2 partitions. One for XP pro and one for 2000 server. When the pc is turned on, both OS's show, but if I select XP it seems to automatically boot from W2K server. What am I missing here? Have I missed a step? Only W2k server will come up. Thanks.

What boot manager are you using? I can't recall if Windows boot manager will work with partitions or not. When working with partitions, you must set the one you want to use active. Perhaps try another boot manager, or even fdisk ;P

Yes, that would work. However I found out what my problem was. (I should've remembered) I have to install the earliest version OS first, and then install XP last.
