Dual Boot xp for Gaming?

im thinking of partitioning my HDD (from the lappy in my sig) and installing another xp on the second partition for JUST gamming. im not sure what would be a better idea.

first thought was to go with a cutdown version of xppro, i.e. xp black/gamming version with all of the "Extra stuff cut out like the visuals/printers, and such.

second idea was to just do a regular version because im not too familiar with the stripped down xp, even though it would be a good learning experiance.

now im thinking that sence i have a 64 bit processer(im pretty sure) that i should get the 64 bit xp pro on there.

ORRR (lol) try to find a stripped version of the 64 bit??

any ideas, thoughts, opinions?

P.S. and like i said before, i will only be installing games/patches. no misic/ no printers...

XP Gaming Edition is very speedy, it's optimized for, well.. gaming. lol

You could also install XP and strip it yourself.. depending on how comfortable you are doing so.

Oh, and you should only use XP Gaming Edition if you have a valid Windows XP license

what program should i use to do the boot choice. do i need one?

what is it about the Gaming Edition that requires a valid license?

any good sites that might give some hints/tips as to striping it myself?

and sence my hardware is 64 bit, id like to get the 64 bit version of what ever xp version i get. do u know off hand if there is a 32and a 64 bit version of the Gaming edition?

you dont need a program to duel boot when you have installed the second copy of xp
and boot up there will be an option for which os you want to boot to.
