I am asking this question with my laptop in mind. I have Windows Vista Home Premium on my G1 laptop, and am wanting to dual boot XP Home. Has anyone done this or know about this? I want Vista for everyday stuff I.E internet, studying, music, etc etc. But I want XP for gaming. Anyone got any insight on this topic?

At the present the articles found on the links there bring up the few that seem to have been written snce the 1/31 release. The rest found in searches relate to Vista in one of the beta not finished retail versions. The two freewares found for dual or even additional multi OSing Vista along with other versions of Windows(XP primarily) are VistaBootPRO and EasyBCD.

Here when XP Pro was replaced by Vista on the 2nd ide drive and reinstalled onto the first sata it couldn't be added into Vista's own bootloader with either of those two or the manual method of using the BCD editor. This was also seen with the XP Home installation on the primary ide when the mbr there are repaired with the recovery console. If you want XP added into the Vista boot screen as an option you will need to reinstall Vista afterwards.
