I was explaing to someone how to set it up here is what i said

ok it can be done what you'll be doing is daul boot when your done and you turn your computer on you will be able to select from xp or windows 98
first you will need to set up a partion in windows xp (i will guide you through this later i need to use my computer at home to explain how to do this) one that is done you need to set your computer to boot from cd in bios and restart place the 98 disk in the drive and press any key when promted to
follow the set up it will then ask you what part of the drive you want to put windows on then you must selecet the partion not the part with xp on it and continue with set up and it will set it up or you get another hard drive and install it on that one wich will leave more space hope this helps ill post any other info needed soon
good luck

Windows 98 isnt designed for a dual-boot environment, so you would need to install Windows 98, then Windows XP afterwards. If you install Windows 98 after, then it wont give you the option of which to choose from.

thanks OMEGA I didnt know that is there anything else he can do the kid dosent want to delet xp

Does he want to run programs and games under Windows 98, or does he just want to mess around with it for a little bit? He may be interested in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.

What the heck does he need 98 to run? Ask him why but if he doesnt need usb then i agree with omega virtual pc is a great option...
