the last time i did dual booting was with 98 and 2000 :)

i googled about dual booting xp with vista and they already have xp install and then installed vista afterwards.

can i do it the other way around?

vista installed and then install xp? :)

Yes, you need to edit the boot.ini file to add an OS during start up.
