Dual channel gaming difference?

Hey again guys.
I have 2x4GB, G.Skill, DDR3, 1600MHZ RAM...If i put another stick in my system(exact same specs as the other sticks), will I have a lower game/overall performance because its not dualchannel?

If your not running out of the 8 you already have and hitting virtual memory. Adding 2 more wont help anything. Just sitting there looking pretty.

I would add 1x4GB stick, same specs, to the 2x4GB stick...totaling 3x4GB...

Well like I said, if your not running out of the 8 you already have, adding 2 or 4 more wont do anything as far as performance. If your using some kind of program/s thats eating all of your 8gb. and your hitting virtual memory alot. Then yes adding the extra 4 will help.

ok...thanks...I saw a stick on newegg for 39$ so thought about getting another 1.
