I am doing a major school prodject for school were i am making myself a PC that will be assed. I am wondering about which out of a few cpu's i shud get.
After reasearching i have found in my price range:
AMD Athlon X2 6000+, $218
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420, $239
(just to clarify, this is AU currency)
6000+, 3.0Ghz, 2Mb L2 Cache.
E6420, 2.13Ghz, 4Mb L2 Cache.
I am unsure how the 6000+ can have a much higher frequency yet still be around the same price. I have read that having the higher frequency cause more latency. I also dont know how much effect a 4Mb Cache will have compered to 2Mb.
Can some one please help me by tell, which with everything taken into consideration, is performs better?
