I a dual core video card equal to 2 seperate video cards?? for example a 7800GTX dual core = 2 7800GTX in SLI mode

yes because thats what we all need four graphics cards. once they get all the games right with the two then we can start thinking about four

there's no driver support for it (at the moment at least), thats why there is no performance increase yet.
its feasable but i dont think there's a processor (or power supply for that matter) on the market at the moment that can even come close to making use of all that power
