Dual display help

Im trying to get my computer to have multiple displays but im having some trouble. my mother board is a Asus A7V600 and my video card is a Nvidia Geforce 5500 FX. when ever i put another video card into a pci slot my computer hangs. im sure it has somethin to do with my motherboard configuration. somethin about telling it to boot from my AGP slot the PCI slots or somethin. my graphics card has VGA, DVI, and Svideo output. i could hook it up to my tv but as im sure you know the resolution on a TV is not very good. if any one could help me setup my motherboard so it would work i would be so grateful. thanks
 
You cant use multiple video cards (unless its SLI, but you cant do that). You can use 2 monitors by hooking it up to both ports on your FX5500.
 
Did your video card come with an adpater to Convert the DVI to analog? If not, then you will either need a DVI monitor or DVI converter in order to use Dual Monitors.
 
Then you'll need to buy a new monitor or an adapter, and the S-Video to RCA is really bad quality, so i wouldnt recommend using that.
