Hi,

Ive seen alot of motherboards with dual ethernet connections recently.

What are these for?

I know there for connecting to internet etc but why two?

Probably a stupid question but i dont know lol:D

You could connect two networks onto one motherboard, or one network and a P2P using a crossover cable.

ooh right so like could you connect to the internet using the one connection and connect streight to another pc using the other and share internet connection?

yea i have it in my mobo its very handy saves u from buying a hub(thou i still have one(a hub well a switch)) but saves setting up(jst u no its jst easyer)

You can either use it for connecting to two networks, or on some you can use the two ethernet ports together to make a 2Gb LAN connection.
