Dual Graphic Card Questions

When there is two graphic cards in a computer does it mean it supports two moniters or is just twice as poweful as one graphics card?
 
Depends, if it's in an SLI or CF setup, then they are both used together to theoretically double video performance.

But you can also have two video cards so you can run 4 monitors, since almost all video cards have 2 outputs.
 
If you're asking the purpose, it's just for a more powreful "GPU" However, if you can just get one powreful card, that's typically the way to go.

actually, most any video card that can sli can also dual-view on its own. the answer is no, though, because you cant hook up a dvi or vga plug to a sli card, only the master card
