Hi,

Right now I have a BenQ FP91G+ as my sole monitor with my custom build.

I am thinking about setting up a dual monitor scheme and need a few bits of information.

1) Is this possible with my current motherboard?
2) I would like to use DVI for both, if possible instead of using the VGA port, which has a lower quality. Is this possible to do in my situation?
3) I only have 1 PCI-E 16x slot on my MB. What are my options for making both monitors have equal performance?

Thank you so much!

1.) Your motherboard shouldn't have much to do with it as long as you have a free pci slot for that video card.

2.) If you want to use DVI for both monitors you may want to buy a video card that has two DVI ports (like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130017) instead of one like you listed which features one DVI port and one VGA port. If that's not an option though, you can use the available DVI port for your primary monitor and then buy a VGA to DVI converter for your second monitor although I'm not too sure how much graphics quality you would lose from doing that.

3.) I'm not really sure what you mean by this question nor am I sure how to answer it but bear in mind you are probably going to be doing most of your work/play on your primary monitor so you want to make sure that performance is best there. Other than that, performance for any monitor is going to depend largely on the quality of your graphics card.
